Sparrow Branding
Sparrow Branding is a corporate identity created for a Tokyo-based advertising production company founded in 2020. The identity covers the logo, the main visuals and the stationery. A sparrow, the origin of the company name, is shown with a pine tree as the symbol tree. The concept comes from a story in which a pine tree protects a sparrow from all harm. Real pine branches, arranged by a flower arrangement artist, and a realistic sparrow model were photographed instead of using computer graphics. The visual tone is strong and serious rather than cute.
Sparrow Branding Corporate Identity by HIROSHI KURISAKI was highlighted as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Sparrow Branding Corporate Identity was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2023. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that honors excellent design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
