Rename
Rename is a design exhibition that questions the idea of standards and measurement. The exhibition uses a visual language taken from measuring tools. Illustration, collage and photography are combined, and four basic shapes from a triangle set are drawn and assembled into butterfly forms. A long roll of paper works like a tape measure, so visitors can choose or make a collage section that matches their own character and take it away in a file bag. Transparent PVC cloth and roll paper are used for the display.
Rename Design Exhibition by Xue Jiang has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Rename Design Exhibition earned the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition that rewards outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
